Rare Glimpse Into Sir Edmund’s Family Photo Album

Sir Edmund, a faithful subject to his sovereign, compiled a collection of candid family photographs for public viewing to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s diamond jubilee.

A Diamond Jubilee has only been celebrated in the UK once before –  Queen Victoria, who reigned for more than 60 years, celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 1897.
Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne on 6 February 1952, and The Coronation took place on 2 June 1953.
